We recommend hygiene appointments every 6 months for most clients, but more frequently for those with unhealthy gums (gum disease).<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tDo I Need a Dental Crown?\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>At some point, many people in Calgary will require a dental crown to restore their teeth. A dental crown (commonly known as a cap) is a dental restoration that replaces the outer surface of your tooth with ceramic material and\/or gold. To prepare your tooth, we will place a new, strong, bonded core which will be shaped before taking a mold of the tooth. The mold is sent to a dental lab where a custom-made dental crown is made in about 1-2 weeks.
